Logbook Service & QuickQuotes

Load a vehicle using either 'Standard Search' , 'Flexi Search' , 'Advanced Search'

After you have found your vehicle or part, click on the orange 'Logbook Service' button.

You are now required to 'Select Model Variant', either select 'Normal Conditions' or 'Adverse Conditions' depending on the customers vehicle driving conditions.

Select 'QuickQuote' button so it is highlighted in green.

You are also presented with 'Step 1-Standard Schedule' & 'Step 2-Special Schedule' (mandatory selection required)

Note: When you select a 'Step 1- Standard Schedule', you must select the corresponding 'Step 2- Special Schedule' or click 'None of these required' if there is no matching special schedule listed for that vehicle otherwise you will not be able to continue and will get the following message.

Once you select the vehicle, conditions and schedules, you are presented with the following screen.

Notes:

  • The brands listed for lubricants and filters are derived from your 'Configurations' settings.
  • You can not continue to complete a quote if a price is missing as shown below for one of the parts. You will be required to get a price for that product or remove it from the quote before you are able to continue to complete the quote by selecting the 'Send to Order/Quote' button.

Once you have confirmed the schedule service and parts required, you will be able to select the 'Send to Order/Quote' button as seen below which sends the required logbook service parts to the quote/order screen in 'Burson Home' or 'Shopping Cart' listing the items for the quote under the sub heading 'Items in this Quote'

In the quote screen, ensure 'Quote' is selected and highlighted in green. You can now proceed to complete the customer information fields which will activate the 'Save Quote Now' , 'Save & Print Quote' or the 'New Quote' buttons. Saving the quote will retain the customer quote in your Ezyparts for 365 days so if a customer returns for the quoted service you can recall the quote so you don't have to perform the necessary steps again. If the customer wants a hard copy of the quote, select the 'Save & Print Quote' button. This will open a PDF file (Adobe Acrobat Reader must be installed on the computer) which can be printed and handed/emailed/faxed to the customer as seen below. (your quote will have your logo in top left corner). Quotes will always list retail prices dependant on your quote 'Configurations' settings.

The 'Hide/Show Nett' button can be used when a customer is in visible sight of your computer screen. Selecting the 'Hide/Show Nett' button removes the visibility of the listed trade prices from the quote.

A discount can be applied to the quote by entering a percentage in the discount box or it will apply the settings selected in the 'Configurations' screen by default.

Custom Items

In the quote screen, you have a pre-populated 'Custom Items' list which can be viewed by clicking on the 'Custom Items' button. The list is populated with some predefined items which can be used to add to your order/quote. You can add items to the order/quote by highlighting the desired item and clicking on 'Add to Order/Quote' button. In the example below, we have added the custom items titled 'Gear Oil and Free Safety Inspection'.

To add an new item in your 'Custom Items' list, you must complete the required fields, 'QTY', 'Item Number', 'Description' and 'Retail Each' and click on the 'Add item to my Custom Items' . Once you add an item it remains in your 'Custom Items' list unless you choose to delete it by highlighting the item in the list and selecting the 'Delete this item' button. This makes it easier and quicker for future use where you just add the custom item to any quote or order down the track. This is beneficial for adding items to a quote or order which may be sourced elsewhere other than Burson if required. The custom items list can be re-arranged in order of preference by highlighting the item and clicking on 'Move Up list' or 'Move Down list'. You can also delete a custom item by highlighting the custom item and selecting the 'Delete this Item'.

Job Check Sheets

Once you have selected the required logbook service schedules you will see an orange button appear titled 'Job Check Sheet'. This opens a service report for the required logbook schedule which can be printed and completed by the service technician as a customer report as part of the service and can be kept on file so full history of work done is maintained in your customers file.

Example of the 'Job Check Sheet' can be seen below.

Note: This will open a PDF file (Adobe Acrobat Reader must be installed on the computer)
